Tim’s leadership is grounded in artistic practice, where collaboration, empathy and storytelling inform a leadership approach that balances creative ambition with strategic thinking and sound governance.

Alongside a career spanning acting, actor training, new work development and theatre directing, Tim has spent more than 20 years in leadership of two of Australia’s leading performing arts organisations, serving five years as CEO/Artistic Director of Australian Theatre for Young People and 16 years as Artistic Director of the Seymour Centre:

Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) Australia’s flagship youth theatre company, empowering the next generation of theatre-makers and storytellers.

Seymour Centre The University of Sydney’s multi-venue performing arts centre, presenting a year-round program of contemporary performance.

Leading these organisations has given Tim extensive experience in strategic, artistic and organisational leadership. His expertise includes:

• Developing organisational strategy and business plans
• Creating and delivering artistic programs aligned with strategic objectives
• Securing and managing government, philanthropic and corporate funding
• Recruiting, mentoring and developing high-performing teams
• Contract negotiation, risk management and organisational operations
• Building sustainable organisations that support artists, audiences and communities
