Tim’s experience of 25+ years in arts leadership roles has been driven by a belief in the value of the arts in the lives of all. To realise this, he has led transformative initiatives and programs from small scale residencies in the remotest parts of Australia to curating and delivering major multi-arts presentation seasons within events such as Sydney World Pride and Sydney Festival.

As an artistic leader, he has collaborated across all levels of government and with diverse stakeholders to position the organisations he has led for success in realising their vision and goals.

As creative mentor, Tim has guided many emerging theatre companies and artists to make work & establish their reputations, including: Outhouse Theatre Co, Squabbalogic, Treehouse Theatre & Sport for Jove.

In his role as Artistic Director of Seymour Centre Tim programmed 15 seasons of works from the independent theatre sector including Sydney premieres of major international works including The Inheritance, Heroes of the Fourth Turning, The Flick, John and Ulster American, alongside original Australian works, Glass Child (The Farm) and Trophy Boys by Emmanuelle Mattana.

In addition he has programmed seasons of large scale work from Australian and international companies including; Complicite (UK), Huang Yi (Taiwan), Chunky Move and Dan Daw.

He has collaborated with leading playwrights to premiere new work, including Debra Oswald, Suzie Miller, Louis Nowra, Michael Gow, Patrick Marber and Patricia Cornelius.

At ATYP, Tim led the conception and development of Fresh Ink, a comprehensive program to develop the skills of next generation playwrights. 20 years on, Fresh Ink remains one of ATYP’s core programs.

Tim has a proven record of commitment to arts education, creating Seymour Centre’s Arts:Ed Program, regularly engaging 25,000+ students annually in syllabus aligned performing arts experiences.

Tim has programmed multiple seasons of cross-genre performance works, featuring productions by small independent theatre companies, major national and international artists and performance companies, and partnerships with major festivals including:
