Methodology
My aim is simple: to offer practical, grounded techniques that help writers create significant work — and move audiences.
My artistic career has taken me through many roles — director, programmer, actor, organisation leader and creative producer. I draw on all of these experiences when reading your play and crafting your script assessment.
Examples:
- Scripts that may pose challenges from a directorial point of view will have these issues identified in detail, with practical alternatives and solutions suggested.
- Scripts where character motivations and/or story arcs need clarification, will receive suggestions to assist the actors in your play.
- Scripts that are ready for the stage, will receive advice on pathways to production based on my extensive experience as a creative producer and arts programmer.
